Our Mission

The Michael Burke Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charity (EIN: 82-2654330) founded with the hopes of continuing Big Mike's legacy and keeping his memory alive.  Our goal is to benefit cancer patients and help their families with the myriad of unexpected costs that arise with serious illness.  Unfortunately, the truth is we will always know someone who needs help while battling cancer.  

An Update for 2020:

Over the past 18 months, the Michael Burke Foundation distributed proceeds to 26 individuals, totaling over $41,000!!! Funds received by the foundation are appropriated directly to cancer patients to help them and their families with the myriad of unexpected costs that arise with serious illness. 

We are truly grateful for your ongoing support throughout the years. The foundation’s annual event started with a small potluck down the Boston Harbor Yacht Club and has since grown to a 500+ person walk and pig roast. In lieu of this year’s event, we have setup an online shop with brand new MBF merchandise to aid our fundraising efforts. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the foundation. We look forward to seeing everyone in their new Michael Burke Foundation gear! We are hopeful and eager to host you all back at BHYC in 2021.  

Since the inception of the Michael Burke Foundation, we have surpassed our goal of raising $100,000 in 3 years! Without the support of our friends, family, and community, none of this would be possible. We are looking forward to continued growth and helping those who need it the most.
